Dear New Friends in Farming:
As you know, agriculture is an ever changing industry and we are writing to let you know of a change at Roach Farms. Kerri and I recently accepted a farm manager position with Roach Farms and are very excited about working with you as part of our new position. Our backgrounds provide experience, diversity, tradition, and a hard work ethic.
I was raised on a livestock and grain farm north of Plainfield while Kerri grew up raising livestock in central Indiana. After graduating from Iowa State University in 2000, I worked as a chemical sales representative for Bayer CropScience in both Wisconsin and Indiana.
While living in Lafayette, Indiana I met my wife-to-be, Kerri, a student at Purdue University. Kerri and I were married last December and after careful consideration, decided to rejoin my family’s operation here in Iowa. Currently I am in charge of operations for our farm and Kerri does the accounting and general administration for our trucking business and a Dekalb/Asgrow seed dealership that has been in our family since 1985.
